I had the pleasure of chatting with Jamie Van Cuyk for the Growing Your Team podcast. We had a great conversation about the benefit of taking breaks, delegating and how to hold yourself and your team accountable.

The conversation was very engaging and included a reference to one of my favorite amusement parks, Cedar Point. Take a listen here

“When you get to the point where you can’t do it all, know that you can't do it all, it's about finding the people for your team. Sometimes that's hiring somebody. Sometimes that’s a service.”

“It is about figuring out what you don’t need to do and who on your team should be doing it because they have capacity or greater strength in it.”

“Putting in the structures, putting in process, and having team members in a lane that they're strong gives you the flexibility to build the business you want to build and create the success you're working towards. Instead of feeling like you're on a hamster wheel and just kind of grinding it out because you're the business owner and you have to do it all. That's not how it has to be.”
